Gentleman Jack

‘Gentleman Jack’ was originally going to be a lot more complex, with intricate detailing but, in the end, I decided this dapper Hare would look just as good, with a jaunty brown top-hat and a bowtie. Sometimes, less is more!

Beyond Jack’s accessories, there’s much to admire here. I’m particularly pleased with the warm tones employed in his fur. The golden-yellow highlight in his ear. The liquid pools of light in his beady eye. Even the touch of purple at the bottom left-hand corner, adds a subtle texture, that helps lead the eye around the work. Very satisfying, this one.
