A Pause Between Acts

The inspiration for ‘A PAUSE BETWEEN ACTS’ came from a walk a few Winters ago, after a heavy snowfall. Gary and I saw this beautiful Vixen sitting quite calmly atop a snowbank just beyond the house. Despite our presence, she seemed totally unfazed by us. If anything, we’ve always took her hard stare as being contemptuous of our presence. It’s as though she’s saying: “You know I’ve been up to some bad things already this morning and, chances are, I’ll be doing some more later on. But right now, I’m just being a Fox. So leave me alone!” Yes, Maam!
