Lynx

Inspired by friends who recently took on a Swedish log cabin, this European Lynx stares out at the viewer with a quizzical gaze. They tell me that telltale paw-prints can often be seen in the snow surrounding the cabin. In other words, this was all the inspiration I needed!

My signature style captures the Lynx at-rest. The swathe of unexpected colours feature prominently. Followed with a blend of swirling, rich textures with shorter brush-strokes to evoke finer hair. Then there’s the attention paid to the gaze from those enigmatic yellow eyes. Moreover, prints of the work have been cropped from the wider original; a decision that concentrates the intensity of the work’s emotion.

I use either archival Fine-Art paper or Hahnemuhle cotton canvas (Rolled & UnStretched). They come in a few sizes:  Mini: An Open Edition, that’s hand-monogrammed on the Matte.  Small: As for Mini.   Standard: Ready-mounted & signed in an edition of #95.   Larger: Un-Mounted & signed. Strictly printed-to-order.  Frames shown for illustrative purposes only.
