Moon Daisy

‘MOON DAISY’ holds a very special place in my heart. I painted it around the time I’d just lost my mother; itself a difficult time. Therefore it seems natural, if not inevitable that I would choose a soft, healing palette. I also remember being lost in the fluid patterns and how the tones complemented the shifting backdrop.

As therapeutic to look at, as it was to paint, ‘Moon Daisy’ is one of those pictures you can lose yourself in. Many people who’ve seen the work, seem transfixed themselves. It’s heartening to think that, from such a difficult time, a picture emerged that means so much to other people!
