Ruby (July)

RUBY (July). A stone of Vitality, Ruby is said to offer protection from unwelcome influences, as well as bestowing passion and love into the life of its wearer.

July’s girl wears a striking Ruby brooch on the neckline of her simple, elegant dress to match her deep eyes. In addition, alongside the deep-red Rose atop her head, there’s also a Goldfish and it too, has a Ruby in its mouth!

Considered as a group, my ‘Little Gems’ presented a wonderful opportunity to delve into the world of portraiture. Revealing and discovering new techniques along the way, has opened-up my world as a painter. Above all and every one of the dozen subjects you see, have benefitted from these revelations. In conclusion, I’m so grateful for having had the chance to complete the project.

    I use either archival Fine-Art paper or Hahnemuhle cotton canvas (Rolled & UnStretched). They come in a few sizes:  Mini: An Open Edition, that’s hand-monogrammed on the Matte.  Small: As for Mini.   Standard: Ready-mounted & signed in an edition of #95.   Larger: Un-Mounted & signed.
